Best Things to Eat and Drink at Disneyland’s Magic Key Terrace

From the Heimlich Chew Chew Juice to the Mulholland Meatballs, discover The Best Things To Eat and Drink at Disneyland’s Magic Key Terrace!

Best Things to Eat and Drink at Disneyland’s Magic Key Terrace

Hi friends! Are YOU a Disneyland Magic Key Holder? The new Disneyland Resort Magic Key Program (think annual pass) provides reservation-based admission to one or both Disneyland Resort theme parks where you’ll make memories visit after visit. I jumped at the chance on August 25th to get my annual pass back and I got the chance to use it AND take advantage of NEW Magic Key Perks at the beginning of the month! If you follow us on @mydisneyeats you can check out our Magic Key story highlight, but I wanted to also share some of those perks here, which feature the Magic Key Tasting Terrace.

Best Things to Eat at Disneyland’s Magic Key Terrace

I’m going to be honest, we tried ALL the things and I didn’t dislike anything. So really order whatever you’d like, you won’t be disappointed. However, I’m going to list the eats in order of my most favorite…to well, least favorite. Because again, they were all spectacular.

Bountiful Valley Charcuterie

The Bountiful Valley Charcuterie is a chef’s selection of cheeses and meats. Now in full disclosure this type of dish, along with a good drink, is right up my alley. I love a good cheese board! I’ve actually ordered this before when it was the Legacy Passholder Tasting Terrace and I loved it. It’s the perfect amount of food for sharing too.

Mulholland Meatballs

These are new to the menu and I have to say, I was so pleasantly surprised! The Mulholland Meatballs feature house-made meatballs, spicy creamy tomato sauce, charred broccolini, orange segments, pickled red onions, whipped burrata, and shaved crostini. I would hands down order this one again.

Slider Invasion

I have a Disney festival rule: always get the slider. Seriously, Disney always has amazing tenderloin sliders that only tend to be available during festivals like Food & Wine and Festival of Holidays. But now you can get them any time you have a hankering at the Magic Key Terrace! On the menu here are beef tenderloin sliders with chimichurri and pickled red onions. Impossible™ patties are also available, making this a great meatless option as well!

Condor Flats-Bread

Loved this flabread! The Condor Flats-Bread features duck confit, goat cheese, seedless grapes, green salad and fig jam—it’s packed FULL of flavor! This is a great option for sharing and I just know it would go well with a nice glass of wine.

Seared Scallops & Potato Fritters

New to the menu! I have to admit that I’m not a big seafood fan, but I did try the scallops for “research purposes” and they were SO GOOD! The perfectly seared scallops are served alongside potato fritters, roasted carrot purée, fresh greens and a zesty citrus-turmeric gel. I 100% know that if my husband were with me, this would be top on his list to order.

Screamin’ Cauliflower Ceviche

A great meatless option, this “veggie ceviche” features citrus-marinated cauliflower, cucumber, tomato, mango, onions, cilantro, jalapeños and avocado, with crispy tortilla chips and mango-habanero sauce (go easy on the sauce, it’s HOT)! Another dish that is packed full of flavor.

Best Things to Drink at Disneyland’s Magic Key Terrace

Now we know this is probably the main reason you’re here. There are so many great drinks on (and off) the menu—you’re sure to find something to suit your fancy!

Heimlich Chew Chew Juice (Non-Alcoholic)

Now this drink has been around for a bit, but if you haven’t tried it, it’s a MUST! Perfectly refreshing after an afternoon in the parks, the Heimlich Chew Chew Juice (a nod to our former Bugs Life buddy) features Minute Maid® Lemonade with granny smith apple syrup, with a fresh slice of “slightly chewed” watermelon.

5… 4… 3… 2… 1

Blast off! If you’re a fan of tropical fruity drinks, this is the one for you! The 5… 4… 3… 2… 1 features Captain Morgan Spiced Rum, Bols Blue Curaçao, coconut-pineapple cream, simple syrup and fresh lime juice. It also looks quite pretty in pictures, if that’s your thing.

Specialty Manhattan

Now the Carthay Circle isn’t the only spot where you can fancy a manhattan! This one features Buffalo Trace Bourbon, MacMurray Estate Pinot Noir and Simple Syrup, garnished with a Charred Cinnamon Stick (to resemble a cigar, ain’t that cute?!).

The Stinger

You had me at tequila! If you like tequila-based drinks, the Stinger features Dulce Vida Pineapple-Jalapeño Tequila, Cointreau and House-made Orange-Habañero Simple Syrup. So delicious and refreshing!

Drop In… If you Dare

If you’re into St. Germain, this one is for you! The Drop In…If You Dare features Hendrick’s Gin, St. Germain Elderflower Liqueur, fresh Lemon Juice, and Maraschino Cherry Mix. It’s a pretty one too!

Ultra Flight

Can’t decide on just one? Try a flight! The Ultra Flight is a trio of gin-based cocktails featuring flavors of Orange, Pine and Sea. Great for sipping and sharing.

Pizza Oom Mow Wow!

Now THIS one I’ve ordered before and yes, it’s GOOD! The Pizza Oom Mow Wow is a pizza-inspired Bloody Mary with Tito’s Handmade Vodka and flavors of Pineapple, Pepperoncini, and Mushroom. I mean, it’s a snack and a drink all in one, what’s not to love!

FOR THE KIDS

Kids are welcome to dine at the Magic Key Terrace as well, with a handful of options…

Spaghetti & Meatballs

The Spaghetti & Meatballs is a Mickey Check meal featuring whole-grain pasta with marinara sauce and turkey meatballs, with choice of lowfat milk or water.

Cheese Pizza

And then for a regular kids option, the Cheese Pizza is served with a choice of lowfat milk or water.

And of course the Heimlich Chew Chew Juice is popular with the kids, both big and small!

MAGIC KEY TERRACE Q&A

Over on @mydisneyeats I asked you guys if you had any questions about the Magic Key Tasting Terrace and because the questions were so good, I wanted to get them posted here!

DO YOU HAVE TO MAKE RESERVATIONS FOR THE TERRACE?

While you can walk-up to see if there is availability for the day, I would highly suggest that you snag a reservation through the Disneyland app.

ARE YOU STILL REQUIRED TO ORDER FOOD WHEN YOU ORDER A DRINK AT THE THE TASTING TERRACE?

That’s a great question! I have folks looking into that for you, stay tuned!

IF I HAVE A MAGIC KEY BUT MY BOYFRIEND DOESN’T, WILL HE BE ABLE TO GO INTO THE TERRACE WITH ME?

Yes! Only one person (the one making the reservation) must be a Magic Key holder, so be sure to share the benefits of the Magic Key with your friends!
