Best Things to Eat and Drink at Disneyland’s A Touch of Disney

From Mickey Waffles to Carbonara Mac & Cheese, there are so many great bites and brews to discover at A Touch of Disney!

A Touch of Disney

Hi friends! It felt so good to be back in the parks during A Touch of Disney! It’s been such a long year without being at Disney so even though not everything was open it was nice just to be back and to get to partake in delicious Disney food while taking in the ambiance! Even though the even has wrapped, I wanted to share some of my favorite bites and brews…

Best Things to Eat and Drink at A Touch of Disney

Very Very Berry Mickey Waffle from D-Lish

A Mickey Waffle with macerated Berries, Whipped Cream and Syrup. Such a great starter to the event (think breakfast!), I almost cried tasting a delicious Mickey waffle after all this time!

Farmstand Punch from D-Lish

Pineapple, Orange, Peach and fresh Lime Juice (Non-alcoholic). A perfect pairing for the Mickey Waffle! This juice was delicious, refreshing and not too sweet.

Pepperoni Pizza Egg Rolls from California Craft Brews

A returning favorite, these rolls are made with mozzarella cheese and garnished with parmesan, parsley and red pepper flakes these petite rolls are served with marinara and pesto dipping sauce.

Pork Belly Bánh Mì from LA Style

Marinated and Grilled Pork Belly on a crispy Baguette with Pickled Daikon, Carrots, sliced Cucumber, Jalapeño, Cilantro and seasoned Mayonnaise. Now this one I picked up based on my husband’s love of Bánh Mì, but I actually quite liked it!

Honey Bourbon Lemonade from LA Style

Bourbon Whiskey, Amber Honey and fresh Lemon Juice. Mmmmm…this was a yummy beverage if I do say so myself! You really can’t go wrong with this combination of delicious flavors.

California Artisan Cheese Selection from Uncork California

Central Coast Creamery Holey Cow Swiss and Fiscalini Farmstead Purple Moon Cheddar with Grapes, dried Apricots and glazed Pecans. Now this is right up my alley! I can always get down with a good cheese plate, especially paired with wine.

Francis Ford Coppola Winery, Sofia Rosé from Uncork California

Now I did get the mimosa flight from this kiosk, but based on the fact that I didn’t love one of the three, if I had to do over I would just get a good wine to pair with the yummy cheese, like this Sofia Rosé from Monterey County.

Grilled Beef Tenderloin Slider from Cluck-a-Doodle-Moo

Topped with Chimichurri and pickled Onions, you can NEVER go wrong with a Disney tenderloin slider! I will always get one of these if they’re on the menu. Tender, delicious and filling!

Watermelon Agua Fresca from Cluck-a-Doodle-Moo

Watermelon Purée and fresh Lime Juice (Non-alcoholic). SUMMER IN A CUP! This one is delicious and seriously refreshing! Would 10/10 recommend.

Carbonara Mac ‘n’ Cheese with Nueske’s® Bacon from Golden Dreams

Made with White Cheddar Cheese Sauce, topped with Nueske’s® Bacon, Parmesan and Red Pepper Panko Crumbs, this dish was DELISH! I always enjoy the mac and cheese options at Disney’s food festivals and this one tops the list.

Sweet and Spicy Chicken Wings from Golden Dreams

Another thing Disney does so well is wings. Served with Togarashi Aïoli, these Sweet and Spicy Wings were not only yummy, but a great option for our gluten free friends.

Non Marketplace Finds

So many of the bites and brews can be found at one of the 13 Festival Marketplaces at the 2020 Disney California Adventure Food & Wine Festival. But there are also amazing festival finds throughout the park and even into Downtown Disney! Here are a few of our fave non-marketplace finds:

Vietnamese Twice-cooked Beef Tacos from Carthay Circle

Probably my FAVORITE thing from the whole day were these tacos from Carthay Circle. The beef was spicy and tender and paired perfectly with the Pineapple-Mint Salsa. Holy YUM. I could eat those everyday!

It’s Lemon and Pineapple Swirl! from Adorable Snowman Frosted Treats

YOU GUYS! This was like a pure taste of Disney. I didn’t realize HOW MUCH I missed Disney Dole Whip (of course my favorite treat), until my first bite. Oh wow…so good. And the pineapple and lemon mix? Genius.

Carrot Cake Funnel Fries from Award Wieners

Coated with cinnamon-sugar topped with crumbled carrot cake, cream cheese icing, and whipped topping–this was my second favorite treat of the day, coming in just after those Carthay Circle tacos. I mean, funnel fries are ALWAYS good, but these were maybe my favorite of all that I’ve tried!

S’mores Shake from Smokejumpers Grill

Now this has been on my list to try for a long time and I’m so glad I did! Definitely a decadent treat, this S’mores Shake was sweet and just the right mix of s’mores flavors.

Impossible Chili Waffle Fries from Smokejumpers Grill

Now THIS is how you serve chili. Made with spiced Impossibleâ„¢ chili with beans, tomato and corn, spicy mayo, cheddar cheese and pico de gallo, this is a hearty snack and a great choice for our gluten-free friends!

Honorable Mentions

I think it’s worth mentioning that I tried a TON of bites from this year’s festival. And lest you think I left some of the noteworthy items off my list, here are my honorable mentions…

Walt’s Chili from D-Lish

Hearty Beef Chili topped with Cheese, Sour Cream and Green Onions. Now this one is a Disney classic–a hearty chili with beans and no spice. It was actually quite nice even though it didn’t top my list. And it’s a great option for our gluten-free friends!

Mimosa Trio from Uncorked California

Oh how I love a good mimosa. I would never turn down a mimosa, but unfortunately I didn’t love the Sierra Mimosa with lavender. I think lavender is one of those things that you either love or hate in food and drinks…I’m just not a fan. The other two were great though, which is why I still wanted to share in honorable mentions!
