Guide to EPCOT Flower & Garden Festival 2022

We’ve got it all! From what to do, what to buy and what to eat, check out our ultimate Guide to the 2022 EPCOT Flower & Garden Festival!

Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival

Hi friends! Thanks to my friends at Walt Disney World, Andre and I headed out on a whirlwind trip to EPCOT to preview the 2022 International Flower & Garden Festival! EPCOT is just one of my favorite places in the world. I love walking through the World Showcase and noshing on tried and true favorites and finding new eats…and just the experience of it all. And don’t get me started on the festivals, they just up the ante when it comes to my love for EPCOT, so I was more than happy to try some new outdoor kitchen goodies. But first, let’s talk all the things you can DO at Flower & Garden this year!

Visit the Flower & Garden Topiaries and Global Gardens

Stopping to take in the beautiful Disney-character themed topiaries of the Flower & Garden Festival is one of my favorite things to do! I’m always amazed at how the Disney horticulturists carefully craft each creation, they add so much happiness and character to the park. There are also a number of gardens that you can graze through while sipping on your festival faves; find the complete checklist of topiaries and gardens here.

Shop Flower & Garden Merchandise

There are SO many great merch finds this year, in a number of themes including Orange Bird (a crowd fave), Figment’s Garden, Mickey Mouse Home Garden, Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse and Spike the Bee. It’s all so cute, I had a hard time deciding on which ones to take home as a souvenir!

Speaking of souvenirs, a GREAT one to grab this year is the adorable Orange Bird Collectible Disney Gift Card! A little tip to keep you from fumbling for your wallet throughout the festival, load your festival funds on this handy wristlet and use it to pay for your food at each outdoor kitchen!

Garden Rocks Concert Series

Live entertainment is BACK in a big way at Disney! Daily concerts will take place at the America Gardens Theatre in the American Adventure Pavilion for the duration of the EPCOT Flower & Garden Festival, with showtimes at 5:30PM, 6:45PM and 8:00PM! While we were there, we danced the night away to Melina León—seriously you could not just SIT and listen, you had to get up and move! Be sure to check out the featured artists when you visit.

Fun for Kids

There is so much to do and see that you might not need to take on an additional adventure for the little ones, but if your family enjoys a good scavenger hunt, you can take part in Spike’s Pollen-Nation Exploration where you’ll follow Spike the Bee on his pollination trail, collecting nectar and pollinating gardens at EPCOT. To get started, purchase your map and stickers at Creations Shop, Disney Traders, or World Travelers for $9.99. Once you have completed your scavenger hunt, return your completed map to Disney Traders or World Traveler for a special surprise.

Another fun option if your family (or just you!) would like to try some of the festival foods for a prize is to complete the Garden Graze! You’ll find a checklist of 5 bites (or booths) to try in the Festival Passport in exchange for a stamp. Once you have the stamps collected, visit the Pineapple Promenade at the entrance of the World Showcase to redeem your prize!

Chef Features at Flower & Garden

Ok, now let’s get to the food! At the media preview, it was great to chat with Disney Chef Kevin Downing, who shared some of the dishes they wanted to highlight this year.

Chilled Potato and Leek Soup “Vichyssoise” from EPCOT Farmer’s Feast

Oh how I love a flavorful soup! This one is made from potatoes and served with chive oil and srispy leeks! It’s also a great gluten/wheat-friendly option.

Goat Cheese Creamsicle Pop from EPCOT Farmer’s Feast

CHEESE POPSICLE? Ok, much like the Frozen Guacamole Popsicle from Disneyland’s Food and Wine Festival, this is another must-try. Made with Goat Cheese Crémeux (think goat cheese custard) this one is served with Orange Cream, Olive Oil Cake, Cranberry Sauce and Praline.

Chargrilled Bison Ribeye from EPCOT Farmer’s Feast

A festival favorite, this Chargrilled Ribeye is served with Creamy Leek Fondue, Roasted Carnival Cauliflower, Romanesco and Port Wine-Goat Cheese Butter. Another great gluten/wheat-friendly option.

Hibiscus Lemonade Cocktail from EPCOT Farmer’s Feast

Ain’t she a beauty?! The Hibiscus Lemonade Cocktail features Islamorada Brewery & Distillery Hibiscus Gin and is served with a real, edible Hibuscus flower!

Grapefruit Tart from The Citrus Blossom

This one is (almost) too cute to eat! Made with Grapefruit Curd, Lychee Jam, Ginger Mousse and Yuzu Cream, she’s pretty and delicious!

Arepas topped with Shrimp or Chorizo from La Isla Fresca

My mom Julieta can make you feel better with just one arepa… YOU KNOW you were singing that song in your head too once you read “arepa.” La Isla Fresca is largely influenced by the hit Disney film, Encanto, featuring a few different arepa dishes. Choose from plain, arepas topped with shrimp or chorizo!

Coconut Tres Leches from La Isla Fresca

You had me at Tres Leches. This delicious take on the popular cake features Vanilla Cake soaked in Oat Milk, Almond Milk and Coconut Milk with Toasted Coconut. That means it’s plant-based and oh so yummy!

Tropical Breeze from La Isla Fresca

Talk about an island vacation in a drink! The Tropical Breeze is made with Lemonade, Grapefruit and Simple Syrup.

Fruit Loops Shake from EPCOT Sunshine Griddle

Ok, I know you’ve heard of this one before…the famous Fruit Loop Shake over by Test Track! Infused throughout with Fruit Loops, this one is a must try. Fun and festive!

Flight from Tangierine Café: Flavors of the Medina

I love the option of flights to try out a bunch of different options. And this flight just sounds so good: Playalinda Brewing Company Ginger and Elderberry Ale, Titusville, FL, 3 Daughters Pomegranate Hard Cider, St. Petersburg, FL and B. Nektar Blackberry Mint Mead, Ferndale, MI. Which one do you think you’d like the most?

My favorite bites!

Frozen Desert Violet Lemonade from Pineapple Promenade

At laaaaaast! I finally got to try the ultimate Flower & Garden beverage and you know what? It lives up to the hype! An easy stop at the entrance to World Showcase, stop by and grab a Violet Lemonade. You won’t be sorry!

DOLE Whip with Fanta from Pineapple Promenade

Do you wanna, wanna Fanta? Oh yah, YOU DO! There are few ways to improve upon the classic DOLE Whip, but paired with pineapple Fanta is all good in my book! This was such a refreshing treat on a warm afternoon!

Boneless Impossible Korean Short Rib from Trowel & Trellis

This dish features Boneless Impossible™ Korean Short Rib with Cilantro-Lime Rice, Danmuji Slaw and Kimchee Mayonnaise. I mean, you had me at KIMCHEE. This is an amazing, flavor-packed, plant-based option at this year’s festival. A must-try in my book!

Taco Vampiro from Jardin de Fiestas

You can’t go wrong with tacos! And this taco features Barbacoa Beef in a Corn Tortilla with Crispy Grilled Monterey Jack Cheese, Salsa Ranchera and Esquites. It’s gluten/wheat-friendly which was a big win in our book. Pair it with the Hypnotic Margarita!

Hypnotic Margarita from Jardin de Fiestas

Be prepared to be hypnotized by this Hypnotic Margarita (oh and share, it’s a strong one!). Made with Corazón Tequila Blanco, Ilegal Mezcal Joven, Rosemary, Hpnotiq Cognac and Lemon Juice, it’s the perfect pairing for your Vampiro Taco!

Frushi from Hanami

Another returning favorite, Hanami’s Frushi is made with Strawberry, Pineapple and Cantaloupe all wrapped in Sweet Rice and Pink Soy Wrap served with Whipped Cream, Drizzled Berry Sauce and Toasted Coconut. We opted to forgo the whipped cream (see below) so that Andre (my non-dairy guy) could enjoy. Great one to share!

Ok, so that’s our list! If you made it down here PHEW! You really hung in there! Let us know if you have any questions, we’re here to help! Hit me up on Instagram at @mydisneyeats.
