2019 Disney California Adventure Food & Wine Festival
From Meyer Lemon Macaron to the Ghost Pepper Mac & Cheese, there are so many great bites and brews to discover at the Disney California Adventure Food and Wine Festival!
Best Things to Eat and Drink at the Disney California Adventure Food and Wine Festival
Ok, let’s get into the meat (literally) of our post! Here are some of our favorites from the 2019 Disney California Adventure Food and Wine Festival:
Ham and Vella Jack Cheese Pinwheel from Nuts About Cheese
This one is such a fun one to kick off the festival with! Warm and cheesy with a flaky crust and smoked pistachios, you definitely should give this one a try.
Wine and Mimosa Flights from Uncork California
Ok, you can’t go wrong with any of the selections from Uncork California! The Mimosa Flights in particular are tasty: Hibiscus Mimosa, Tropical Mimosa and Mixed Berry Mimosa.
Meyer Lemon Blue Diamond® Almond Macaron from Citrus Grove
This one is a fan favorite! Not only is it pretty to look at, this macaron has the perfect balance of lemon for a delicious, tasty treat.
Pepperoni Pizza Egg Rolls from California Craft Brews
Alert the media, this one was definitely one of my favorites! Paired with marinara and pesto dipping sauces, be sure you stop by for these guys.
Strawberry Float from Berry Patch
Now last year I tried the “Frushi” so this year I opted for this non-alcoholic float with strawberry juice, vanilla ice cream, whipped cream and crunchy cereal garnish! If you’re a strawberry shortcake fan, you’re gonna love this drink.
Ghost Pepper Mac and Cheese from Peppers Cali-Ente
WARNING: not for those without a spicy palette. I enjoyed the Ghost Pepper Mac and Cheese with Chili Cheese Corn Chip Dust, but we did have one in the group (who will remain unnamed) who struggled with the spiciness. Have yogurt or milk on hand (or a Mickey Ice Cream Bar might help) if you need to thwart the burning sensation.
Jalapeño-Lime Margarita from Peppers Cali-Ente
Wash down that spicy mac and cheese with a refreshing and simple Jalapeño Margarita. I loved this one, perfect for a warm sunshiny day!
Cool Lime Michelada from Veggie, Veggie, Fruit, Fruit
We kept things rolling with this Cool Lime Michelada with Frozen Lime Ice (aka lime popsicle) and Lime Salt Rim. Delish!
Spiced Roasted Chicken on Pita from Avocado Time
Everyone was a fan of this one! Not spicy at all and a delicious, hearty little bite with Avocado Hummus and Garlic Sauce.
Fried Artichokes from I Heart Artichokes
Also a fan favorites! This one is great to share as you get a bowl full of Fried Artichokes topped with Lemon Aïoli. Grab a couple forks for this one and pass it around!
Harris® Ranch Grilled Beef Tenderloin Slider from Cluck-a-Doodle-Moo
So this is one I’ll come back to every year. Also a group favorite, I think everyone snagged a Beef Tenderloin Slider with Chimichurri Sauce.
Bloody Mary from Garlic Kissed
CONFESSION: I started out the day with this Bloody Mary with a Garlic-stuffed Olive! What better way to start your Disney day? I thought it was delicious.
Shrimp Boil Tacos from Off the Cobb
Perfect for corn fans! This festival kiosk is fun, but I wish they would have offered a mini version their Chili Lime Corn on the Cobb at this stop as well. Have you tried those? Available in a few places across California Adventure and worth a try for sure.
Chocolate-Peanut-Caramel Parfait from Golden Dreams
Mmmm…by the time we hit up Golden Dreams we were ready for a dessert! And this Chocolate-Peanut-Caramel Parfait fit the bill. The layers were delicious and a great sweet treat.
Yippee! Mickey’s Cotton Candy Soda from Golden Dreams
At this point I was also ready for a non-alcoholic drink and on a warm day the Cotton Candy Soda was not only fun but a welcomed sip! With Sprite®, Cotton Candy Premium Syrup, half-rimmed Butter Cream with Mickey Sprinkles and Pineapple Cotton Candy Garnish, it was a SWEET drink but also tasty…and just so cute!
BLT Chicharrón Duro from LA Style
There’s nothing like ending a delicious food festival with BACON! This BLT Chicharrón Duro
with Ranch Crema is a great ending to a delicious foodie trip around Disney.
